Originally from Southern California, my husband and I came to Seattle for a job interview for me while we were we here thought it would be smart to at least tour the area and get a feel for it. We instantly fell in love, and decided that whether I got the job or not, we were moving here. Mara was recommended by a local friend, and we called her asking if she would be willing to show us around the neighborhoods and maybe a few homes being from out of state, we knew nothing of the area. Mara was super quick to get back to us, asking all the right questions, and getting a solid feel for who we were and what our tastes and style was. She started emailing us listings, and right away we could tell she got us. She put together an extensive tour, showing us all the areas of interest, as well as an amazing selection of homes. The very first home she showed us wasn't even on our list, but she thought we would love the area and the opportunity for this quaint beach bungalow. She was so right. After looking at 10+ houses in a day, we kept going back to the first n our mind. A week later, she emailed us that the price had been reduced and we immediately jumped on it. In less than 8 weeks, our escrow was closed, we packed up and are now living in this beautiful little bungalow, with views to die for. And we would have never found it if Mara hadn't taken the time to get to know us, and show us this special place. Additionally, when we moved in, she met us with the keys and went above and beyond to help us with a heating issue that day (even her husband stepped in to help)! Amazing customer service! I both sold and purchased a house with Mara in 2006. Mara went out of her way to make sure the process was fast and easy and that was great. She personally did some minor repairs to my condo to help get it sold. She also deducted $500.00 from her cost becuase I was unhappy with a charge that came up in escrow. However, I don't think that she gave me the best advice and that ended up making my very unhappy in the end. Upon her advice, I did not have my own inspection of the property that I bought. It had been inspected by the person that almost bought it before me and we used the info on that. Well, it turned out that was the worst decision that I ever made. The house wasn't even insulated and the furnace was broken. It was terrible. I was 23 when I purchased it so I really did not know what I was doing. I felt kind of like she did not care what I got as long as she got the commission. If it wasn't that, then Mara is just not very experienced. Either way, I would never use her again.

I can't say enough Wonderful things about Mara! I was very nervous and overwhelmed to buy my first home. I felt like this was a feat that I would never be able to accomplish. Thank goodness I had Mara to guide me through the process and calm my nerves along the way. She was patient, kind, and thorough when answering all my questions. She was also reassuring when I needed it. Mara went above and beyond to make sure that my husband and I (who didn't have a car at the time we were looking for homes) never missed a tour by picking us up and driving us all over Seattle. When it came time to close on the house, Mara went worked tirelessly to make sure we could close on our dream home. She is an amazing negotiator and will fight tooth and nail for her clients to get the best deal. Not only did we find our dream home with Mara we found a wonderful friend in her as well.
